NEWS FROM EXAMINATIONS OFFICE “Dreams come true and real for those wake up early to pursue theirs with vigour and determination’’. The Examinations Office has the following information for our esteemed parents/guardians. RESULT OF NECO BECE 2017 HAS BEEN RELEASED. The result of the above mentioned examination which our JS3 students wrote has been released. Parents/guardians can approach the Examinations Officer for collection of their wards’ statement of results with evidence of complete clearance from the Admissions Officer. NECO SSCE & TERMINAL EXAMINATIONS ARE IN PROGRESS NECO Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) and the end of session examinations are going on simultaneously in the school. Friday 21st July, 2017 is the last day for NECO SSCE, while all other examinations will end on 17th July, 2017 to pave way for adequate preparation for the forthcoming pupils’/students’ graduation ceremonies. 12 MORE DAYS LEFT FOR OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2017 SERIES CAMBRIDGE CHECKPOINT & IGCSE – PLEASE RUSH. The second and last series of the aforementioned examination for 2017 comes up between October and November, 2017. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to register their wards for these examinations. IGCSE is for students currently in Senior Secondary Two, who will be in SS3 by September, 2017. Cambridge Primary Checkpoint is for the current Primary Four and Five pupils moving to Primary Five and Six respectively by September, 2017. Cambridge Secondary Checkpoint is for students currently in Junior Secondary Two, who would have been in Junior Secondary Three by September, 2017. Detailed information about registration period and fees has been formally communicated to parents/ guardians through their wards. TUCK SHOP Olumawu School Tuck Shop re-opens for 1st term 2017/2018 Academic Session 4st September,2017. The Menu contains delicious and healthy meals to cater for our pupils/students.  Parents should indicate whether they wish to avail of this excellent opportunity to have their children/wards served lunch by making immediate payment or sending in a letter/ e-mail (toluwaoye@olumawu.org ) to cover their child/children until the deadline date, in order to avoid their child(ren) missing out any meals. There shall be NO reducing balance. Download menu or pick up a copy at the school account office and tick the appropriate food options your child wants to be served daily Make your child’s lunch payment in full N40,000 forty thousand naira only. (Details at school account office) Submit the already filled menu sheets back to school to ensure your child gets the correct food option selected daily.   Lunch registration reopens by mid-term for half payment. (N20,000 Twenty thousand hundred naira only) Ensure you make your child’s lunch payment as soon as possible so he/she does not miss out as there will be no reducing balance/ refunds for late payments. INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARDS. Olumawu School ISA projects are almost completed, we shall put in finishing touches to our portfolio compilation during summer school, submit back to British Council and await our the award ceremony. KING SSCE NECO EXAMINATIONS SSCE NECO examination for our SS 3 students ended on Friday, 21st July, 2017. We are grateful to Almighty God for giving us the grace to complete the examination without hitches. We are indeed hopeful that as usual, our final year students would keep the flag flying by excelling in all subjects. END OF TERM EXAMINATIONS All terminal examinations ended on Monday 17th July, 2017. Results will be accessible to parents on our school portal from Tuesday 25th July, 2017 at 10.00 am. Parents can pick up marked scripts and school fees invoice for next term as early as 9.00am on the same day.  JSS 3 AND SS 3 GRADUATION CEREMONIES Speech and prize giving and JS 3 graduation will hold on Saturday 22nd July, 2015. On Saturday 29th July, it will be the turn of the SS 3 students. Time for both events will be 10.00am. Parents are hereby advised to ensure that students are in school as early as 8.30am on both days to enable us kick start the events at exactly 10.00am without any delay. We thank the Almighty God for the successful completion of 2016/2017 academic session. We thank God for seeing us through the session. It’s been God all the way. I also want to use this opportunity to thank our amiable parents for their support, understanding, and cooperation. Thanks for always being there for us whenever you are called upon. You are all wonderful. God will continue to bless you and strengthen you. We love you all. VACATION/SCHOOL CLOSURE By His grace, the school goes on vacation on Friday 21st July, 2017 and reopens on Monday 4th September, 2017. SUMMER LESSON The summer lesson for 2016/2017 academic session starts on Monday 24th July and ends on Friday 18th July, 2017. Parents should please endeavour to bring their children/wards for the lesson. It’s going to be fun all through. It has been a very busy and successful term here at Olumawu School. There have been many teaching and learning developments, charity events, sports fixtures which have taken place all through this academic year. All Open Days and terminal examinations held during the year were very well attended and peaceful too. I would like to thank you for your support through the 2016/2017 academic year. Though the year has not been without its challenges, I promise you that the Olumawu team has held on to its commitment to guiding our pupils through this crucial stage in their educational journey.
