Chidi Udeaja

Mrs Chidi Udeaja is my name, I am heading to my eight year working as a staff in the department of Home Economics/Foods and Nutrition in Olumawu College. I hailed from Anambra state and was brought up in the eastern part of Nigerian in a town called Obodoukwu.

I acquired my NCE in Alvan Ikoku College of education owerri where I studied Home Economics. I returned to university of Nigeria Nsukka from 1996 – 1998 where I obtained degree in home economics. Presently I am doing my masters programme in Open University.

I taught in a school in Lagos for so many years imparting unto the students good morals, good reading habits, how to respect elders and lots more.

I desire and ensure that students are equipped and trained in all good aspect of life. I ensure and encourage students to participate in every activity in class, given every student opportunity to learn and express themselves, making them to be self- reliant and committed to their studies.

I am particular about every student and their performances trying to know their weakness and helping them to rise to the top.

In the laboratory, I expose the students to practicals in order for them to acquire skills which will help them to become job creators instead of job seekers in future.

I am good at training students to use their thinking capabilities and how to approach challenging situations.

I hope to build and prepare students in the college to participate in cooking competitions and excursions etc.

I enjoy cooking different delicacies and reading novels.
