Opara Mary Jane

I am Opara Mary Jane Adaku, good citizen of this great country, Nigeria. I hail from Akpuru, in Nnorie Autonomous Community in Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State.

I graduated from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka and gained a degree in education, Igbo Linguistics. I also obtained Nigeria Certificate in Education (N.C.E) in the same department, from Alvan Ikoku College of Education Owerri. I gained employment as a class teacher in Olumawu School, Wuse II Abuja for over seven years.

My teaching life started when I finished my N.C.E before I proceeded for my degree course. I have enthusiasm for teaching and a great concern for children, the factors that propelled me to study education in the university.  This gives me the opportunity to interacting with children always.

As an Ibo lady, I would like every Igbo students/pupils to speak Igbo clearly and fluently both in the Igbo class and at home. Encourage them to be proud of their tribe and ethnic group among other ethnic groups. I strongly belief in the Ibo norms and values and inculcate them to the pupils and the students of this great institution.

Apart from teaching, I have huge interest in reading and travelling.
