Mrs. Salifu Josephine Achenyo

My name is Salifu Josephine Achenyo and I am now entering my thirteenth year working at Olumawu Basic Education School Abuja.
I am from Kogi state and grew up in the southeast in a small town called Ogbounike in Anambra state. I studied at Federal College of Education Okene, Kogi State, gaining a National Certificate in Education in Computer Science/ Chemistry Education in 2001.

I returned to University in 2009 to complete my degree programme in Economics with the University of Abuja. I have also attended several workshops, seminars and training on Early years, Jolly Phonics and the Developmental Stages of Children between the ages of 0-11 years.

I am a great believer in personal learning and in providing pupils with opportunities to flourish both inside and outside of the classroom. When
pupils enter my classroom they are encouraged to explore the subject for themselves and feel at home, using past experiences and to know that they are in a secure learning environment. I believe passionately in getting to know the pupils individually and strive to allow them to express
themselves in the most creative and innovative ways possible. I am also committed to creating a safe and challenging learning environment where all pupils are part of a positive-learning experience.

I like the company of children and also enjoy creative art.
